Ms Heather Robinson

Heather Robinson has extensive experience in the arts and cultural industry across Australia, specialising in cultural project management, strategic communications and developing communities of knowledge exhange. In 2015 she became a Board member of Adelaide Festival of Ideas Association Inc., and in 2016 was Executive Producer of the Adelaide Festival of Ideas (AFoI). Robinson previously delivered the 2013 AFoI as Associate Director.

Robinson is undertaking a PhD at Flinders University, as part of the Laboratory Adelaide Project, which explores the non-pecuniary impacts of cultural institutions within SA communities, in particular the State Library of South Australia. Her early career in Melbourne began in heritage collections management and events with the National Trust of Australia (VIC), membership and events with the National Gallery Society of Victoria and later as Program Coordinator for the Australian Centre for Youth Literature at the State Library of Victoria.

Since 2010 Robinson has been an Honorary Research Associate for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and is pursuing silent film history for a biography of forgotten Hollywood actress, Claire Adams Mackinnon.
