I was born and educated in Milan (Italy), where I completed my undergraduate studies. Before becoming an academic I had a variety of work experiences, including two years as the marketing and communication officer for a theatre company, and one year as a librarian. I have taught Italian in many different contexts, and I have always had a keen interest in languages, communication and information technology. These interests have shaped my life and career, and continue to be a never-ending source of excitement and curiosity.
