Jo is a Senior Lecturer and the Director of the award-winning Flinders Legal Centre (previously Flinders Legal Advice Clinic) where she is also a supervising solicitor. The Centre is a Flinders Law service providing free legal advice to the community while providing clinical legal education to law students. She has been with the Centre since July 2013.

She was a guest lecturer for the Masters of Psychology (Forensic) at the University of South Australia and has also taught in the Tort Law course at Flinders University.

Upon her admission as a lawyer in 1985 Jo worked in private legal practice initially in a country legal practice and later in both suburban and city legal practices. She has also worked briefly as a Deputy Registrar of the Family Court of Australia and for six years as Senior In-House Counsel with a large non-Government education body.

LLB (Adel), GDLP (SAIT), LLM (Charles)

Jo is admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia and holds a current unrestricted practicing certificate.
