Keith believes that practice and research are inter-related and he seeks to reflect this in his teaching. With a background in both mathematics and the human sciences, Keith is keen to ensure the integration of research and practice and that the evidence base from which practitioners operate is both rigorous and yet empathetic to the realities of human need.

Keith has been involved at both a professional and personal level with Aboriginal communties for over 20 years. He recognises the value of engaging meaningfully as partners in the lives of Aboriginal people.
