Kym Williams is a senior lecturer in Sport and Active Recreation. He teaches across a range of areas, including exercise prescription, physiological testing, functional anatomy, anthropometry, sports technology, data analytics, and biomechanics. His research interests are directed towards the application of technology in the determination of athleticism or injury susceptibility, with secondary research interests in talent identification practices in sports, enhancing physical function through exergames, and the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation or occlusion training on muscle function. Kym has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles in leading sport and exercise science journals, which have translated into both national and international research collaborations, consultancies, and grant acquisitions. He also has over 13 years of experience in the field of sport and exercise science and has spent time in both academia and industry. This includes over ten years as a professional strength and conditioning coach, working with junior athletes to Olympic-level athletes in preparation for two Olympic cycles.
