Professor Sheila Lennon joined Flinders University in 2012 as Foundation Chair of Physiotherapy. She coordinated the Master of Physiotherapy program from its inception in 2012 to Dec 2016. Prior to joining Flinders University, Sheila was a Reader in Rehabilitation based at the University of Ulster in Belfast. Sheila is an experienced PhD supervisor and chief investigator. She is the author/editor of more than 50 peer reviewed papers and a Pocketbook of Neurological Physiotherapy. Sheila qualified as a physiotherapist from McGill University in Canada in 1979, and has worked clinically as a physiotherapist in Canada, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Sheila is a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in the United Kingdom.

Sheila stepped down from her role as Head of Physiotherapy in Dec 2016. Her area of research and teaching expertise is neurological rehabilitation. Sheila has full academic status at Flinders University. She is currently supervisng two PhD students, and is continuing to work on research projects for upper limb rehabilitation following stroke, and falls prevention for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
